“Toronto Blue Jays Ready to Make a Bold Move: New Report Reveals Team’s Ambitious Contract Offer to Vladimir Guerrero Jr.”

The Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly preparing to make another contract offer to superstar first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., with details emerging from veteran reporter Hector Gomez of Z101 Digital.

According to the source, the Jays are aiming to present an offer that aligns closely with Guerrero’s expectations. The potential deal could span 14 to 15 years, valued between $550 and $600 million.

Earlier this offseason, Guerrero expressed a willingness to sign a long-term extension with the Jays if they met his asking price. However, the two sides were unable to come to an agreement, and discussions ceased as spring training began. The initial offer from Toronto included significant deferrals that lowered the immediate value of the deal, suggesting the new proposal could offer a much higher current value.

Guerrero, in the final year of his rookie contract, has positioned himself as a franchise cornerstone for the Blue Jays. Losing him without a substantial return would be a major setback, especially given his elite status as one of the best homegrown players in team history. He’s coming off a stellar season in which he hit .323, slugged 30 home runs, and drove in 103 RBIs. Guerrero also earned his fourth All-Star selection, claimed a Silver Slugger award, and finished sixth in the American League MVP race.

With the Blue Jays finishing last in the AL East last season with a 74-88 record, they’ve made key additions, such as Anthony Santander and Jeff Hoffman, to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season. Signing Guerrero to a long-term deal would ensure their competitive window stays open for years to come.
