COLDPLAY weighs in on the UK government’s announcement on a PRICE CAP for RESALE TICKETS in order to tackle TOUTS.

After the Oasis reunion ticket debacle – which saw thousands of fans having to pay hundreds of dollars more for tickets as a result of dynamic pricing – the government promised they would look into the current issues surrounding ticket selling.

Now, the UK government has announced they will be implementing a price cap on how much touts can re-sell tickets for, and an official consultation into the controversial dynamic pricing model.

After news of the price cap broke, Coldplay weighed in, announcing their support of the resolution.

“UK ban on ticket resale profiteering will be great news for fans. The permitted cap on ticket resale prices should be no more than 10% above the original price – ideally 0% as it is in Ireland,” they tweeted.
