Special Violets Shine at the Inclusion Run 2025.

Berlin, April 9, 2025 — The Special Violets, an inspiring team of athletes with diverse abilities, made a powerful statement of unity and determination at the Inclusion Run 2025. Held in the heart of Berlin, this year’s event saw a record turnout, with over 10,000 participants from across Germany and beyond, all coming together under the theme “Running Together, Stronger Together.”

The Special Violets, known for promoting inclusivity through sports, participated in both the 5K and 10K categories. Their vibrant purple uniforms and infectious team spirit made them one of the highlights of the day. Spectators lined the route, cheering them on with banners, claps, and chants of encouragement.

Team captain Lena Schulz, who has cerebral palsy, shared, “Today was more than just a run. It was about showing the world what we can do when we are seen, heard, and supported. We’re not running for sympathy — we’re running for equality.”

The Inclusion Run 2025 was organized in partnership with several disability advocacy groups, focusing on accessibility and equal opportunity. Event director Thomas Berger emphasized that the goal was not competition, but community.

The Special Violets’ participation served as a moving reminder that inclusion is not just a concept — it’s a movement powered by passion, perseverance, and people.
