Rangers Eyeing Rapid Bucharest Star in €5M Deal—Could This Be the Striker They Desperately Need?

Rangers are actively searching for a new striker, with manager Philippe Clement emphasizing the need to strengthen the squad after a goalless draw against Hearts in their Premiership opener. While Danilo’s match fitness is lacking and Cyriel Dessers has yet to convince fans, the Gers are linked with several potential signings.

Rapid Bucharest’s Albion Rrahmani is a top contender, with the Romanian club placing a £5 million price tag on the 23-year-old Kosovo international. Despite club chief Victor Angelescu’s recent comments suggesting Rrahmani would stay until winter, ProSport reports that Rangers are preparing an offer. With Rapid now reportedly lowering their asking price by €2 million, a deal might be imminent.

Rrahmani, who scored 19 goals and provided five assists in 30 games, could be the key to bolstering Rangers’ attacking options. As playmaker Ianis Hagi is no longer wanted and Sam Lammers has moved to FC Twente, Rrahmani’s arrival could significantly impact Rangers’ season.
