Leeds United are reportedly pursuing a transfer for a Rangers favorite as they look to replace one of their departing players.
Ryan Kent, who left Rangers for Fenerbahce on a free transfer last summer, is now being targeted by Leeds. Despite a challenging season abroad and criticism of his performances under new Fenerbahce manager José Mourinho, Kent remains well-regarded for his contributions to Rangers’ 2020/21 Premiership title and the Europa League final run the following year.
Kent’s playing time has been limited, and with recent speculation about his departure, Leeds United have reportedly offered €3 million for the winger, as per Ekspres. They are keen to bring him back to England, where he previously played for Liverpool. Kent participated in Fenerbahce’s Champions League qualifier against Lugano this summer.
Meanwhile, West Ham United have reportedly agreed to a £25 million deal, plus add-ons, with Leeds for winger Crysencio Summerville, who is set for a medical. This transfer would leave Leeds in need of a winger, potentially making Kent a suitable replacement. Leeds had signed Kent’s former Rangers teammate, Glen Kamara, last summer, but he has since moved to Rennes.
