“Giovanni van Bronckhorst Seeks Reunion with James Tavernier; Besiktas Poised to Make Move”

HITC reports that Giovanni van Bronckhorst is keen to rejoin forces with James Tavernier, and Besiktas are preparing to launch a bid for the Rangers captain. Rangers manager Philippe Clement would be reluctant to lose his star player and captain, but the club may not be able to refuse a significant offer.

Trabzonspor has already made an unsuccessful bid for Tavernier but is expected to return with a new offer.

Tavernier, who is highly sought after, also has interest from several other clubs. Besiktas, managed by his former Rangers boss van Bronckhorst, is among those interested. Additionally, Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq, led by another ex-Rangers manager Steven Gerrard, is keen, and newly promoted Al-Qadsiah is also considering an approach.

European clubs, including Monaco and Greek giants Olympiakos, are also monitoring the situation.

Clement has acknowledged that player sales are likely this summer, revealing earlier that the board had set expectations for him. He expressed a commitment to both immediate and long-term goals, emphasizing a new philosophy for rebuilding the club.
