Former Buccaneers linebacker Kwon Alexander is getting another opportunity in the NFL with a top NFC contender.
After leaving Tampa Bay in 2018, Alexander has played for several teams, and now he’s joining the Detroit Lions. Previously on the Denver Broncos’ practice squad, Alexander was signed by the Lions to help address their linebacker depth amid recent injuries, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Drafted by the Bucs in 2015 from LSU, Alexander recorded 271 solo tackles, 109 assists, 7.0 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, and 6 interceptions over 46 games with Tampa Bay. Since his departure, he has played for the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, and most recently, the Broncos.
