Paul Warne is aiming to enhance Derby County’s attacking options, though the club has missed out on a key target.

Derby has already signed seven players, including Kayden Jackson and Jerry Yates, to strengthen their forward line.

However, Paul Warne is eager to bring in another winger to inject some much-needed pace into the team’s attack.

Although Derby has Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Corey Blackett-Taylor, the squad lacks depth on the wings, and missing out on a new target could be a significant setback.

Derby County have missed out on signing Karamoko Dembele, who has instead joined Championship rivals QPR.

The Rams had targeted the Stade Brest winger this summer, hoping to add both speed and youth to their squad, which is currently lacking in those areas. Dembele, 21, was seen as a key addition to bolster Derby’s wing play.

Last season, Dembele was on loan at League One side Blackpool, where he made 47 appearances, scored nine goals, and contributed 14 assists.

Paul Warne is eager to strengthen Derby County’s squad by adding a winger.

The main concern for the Rams is their lack of depth in the winger position, with Warne currently having only three wide players available. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Corey Blackett-Taylor are his primary options, with Tom Barkhuizen also in contention.

Due to this lack of depth, Warne prioritized signing a new winger for Pride Park this summer, but he has yet to secure one.

Derby had previously expressed interest in Jamal Lowe from Sheffield Wednesday and Josh Murphy from Portsmouth. With these targets and Dembele now unavailable, the Rams will need to explore other options before the transfer deadline.
