According to Chris Jack, Rangers’ summer signing Clinton Nsiala is unlikely to start against Hearts at Tynecastle on August 3. Jack mentioned on August 2 that if Robin Propper does play, the choice will be between John Souttar and Ben Davies to partner him.

Despite Rangers securing Nsiala from AC Milan, it’s anticipated he won’t make his full debut immediately. Jack noted, “I’d be very surprised if he starts at Tynecastle. So for me, it’s between Souttar and Davies. I think Balogun will be more of a squad option.”

It makes sense for Rangers to ease Nsiala into the team gradually rather than starting him in a challenging away game. Introducing him off the bench allows him to adapt to the Scottish game’s style and pace while gaining valuable experience in a less demanding role. This approach helps build his confidence and allows him to learn from his more experienced teammates.
