Rangers Renew Interest in Rapid Bucharest Striker Albion Rrahmani

Rangers’ interest in Rapid Bucharest striker Albion Rrahmani has reportedly resurfaced.

The Ibrox club has been linked to the Kosovo international in recent months, with recruitment chief Nils Koppen remaining an admirer of the player. Neil Lennon, Rrahmani’s current manager, has made it clear he does not want to lose the striker. However, reports from Romania suggest that Rangers have not given up on their target as they seek reinforcements amid Philippe Clement’s rebuild.

The manager skillfully avoided questions regarding Hearts star Lawrence Shankland following his side’s 4-4 draw with Union Berlin, saying, “I don’t go into rumours and I will not speak about players of teams we are going to play against.”

James Tavernier has also been a topic of conversation, but the Belgian manager dismissed rumors of the captain nearing an exit, despite speculation about an offer from Saudi club Al-Ettifaq.

Another potential departure is Todd Cantwell, who has requested an exit after an official conversation with the boss. Cardiff City is reportedly one of the clubs interested in the midfielder.
