Millwall is getting closer to finalizing a deal for Lukas Jensen after receiving approval to negotiate personal terms with the Danish goalkeeper.

The 25-year-old, who joined Lincoln City from Burnley last summer, was one of the standout performers in League One, helping Lincoln City make a late push for the play-offs under head coach Michael Skubala.

While there are still a few minor details to be worked out between Millwall and Lincoln, Jensen has been cleared to travel to London for discussions and a medical with Millwall.

Jensen was a regular fixture for Lincoln last season, recording 19 clean sheets in 45 league appearances, and is entering the final year of his contract. He has returned from Lincoln’s pre-season training camp in Spain to engage in talks with Millwall.

Since joining Burnley in 2019, Jensen has had stints with several English clubs, including Bolton, Carlisle, and Accrington Stanley. He was named Lincoln City’s Player of the Year last season for his standout performances in goal.

Lincoln has developed a reputation for nurturing talent, having already profited from Lasse Sorensen’s sale this summer. Jensen is poised to be the latest player to depart after a successful period at the LNER Stadium.

The club has previously seen players like Harry Toffolo, Anthony Scully, Tayo Edun, and Jorge Grant move to higher levels, while loan players such as Brennan Johnson, Morgan Rogers, and Carl Rushworth have thrived during their time with Lincoln.

Macaulay Langstaff

Millwall signed Macaulay Langstaff earlier this week and are still working to secure a deal for Japhet Tanganga.

The club is actively seeking two new goalkeepers this summer following the tragic passing of Matija Sarkic, who was just 26 years old. Bartosz Bialkowski, the previous No.2 goalkeeper, departed the club at the end of last season after his contract ended. Currently, Connal Trueman, the only senior goalkeeper left, is facing a spell on the sidelines due to an ankle injury.

Millwall head coach Neil Harris is also focusing on strengthening other areas of the squad. The acquisition of Notts County striker Macaulay Langstaff was confirmed on Monday for a six-figure fee.

Japhet Tanganga, the former Tottenham defender who spent the latter half of last season on loan at Millwall, remains a target. Although Tanganga has been released by Tottenham and is now a free agent, Millwall is still in negotiations to secure his services on a permanent deal, following an agreement in principle made in May that included add-ons.
