Oxford City sign Bradley Stretton

Oxford City have signed Bradley Stretton, formerly of Coventry City, following his impressive performance as a trialist where he scored a hat-trick against Kings Langley. The versatile 19-year-old, who can play in central and wing positions, will don the number 11 shirt for the Hoops.

Stretton, who joined Coventry at the age of seven but was released without making a senior appearance in May, has made a significant impact during pre-season at Court Place Farm, scoring four goals overall, including his hat-trick in a 9-1 victory over Kings Langley.

Expressing his delight, Stretton said on the Hoops club website, “It’s great to get it finally done now. I’m very excited, it’s a fresh start and I’m looking forward to getting my career on track and doing my thing.”

Manager Sam Cox praised Stretton’s potential, saying, “I’ve been really impressed with Brad. He’s a fantastic young talent who was in and around Coventry’s first team last season. He’s technically strong and has a great attitude.”

“In the games he’s played, he’s made a strong impression and we believe he has the potential to grow and develop with us. He’s a valuable addition to our squad.”
