Cornerback Carlton Davis played a pivotal role in the Week 10 comeback against the Texans, securing two interceptions, and has added two fumble recoveries this season. Meanwhile, Amik Robertson forced two fumbles in Week 8 against the Titans.

Yet, rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold has yet to join the turnover tally for the Lions’ secondary. His improved play has limited opportunities for opposing quarterbacks, with Arnold being targeted just four or fewer times in three of his last five games. Arnold also acknowledges that takeaways often depend on timing, positioning, and a bit of luck.

Following Thursday’s practice, Arnold expressed confidence that his first NFL interception is just around the corner. Reflecting on Week 11, he noted he was in position for potential picks but saw Patriots quarterback Mac Jones opt for different throws. “When my picks come, they’re going to come in bunches,” Arnold said, per Dave Birkett of the *Detroit Free Press*. “I know what my job is, and I’ve never sought validation from others. Some people need external praise, but I know what I’m doing. When I’m in single coverage, it’s locked down.”

Arnold’s collegiate success backs up his optimism. At Alabama, he tied for the SEC lead with five interceptions in his final season and notched 20 pass breakups across his last two years. While he’s still waiting for his first interception at the professional level, Arnold believes it’s only a matter of time before the floodgates open for him in Detroit’s dynamic defense.
