Hibs will face MSV Duisburg in a friendly match on Wednesday, July 3, at 2pm BST.

As part of their training camp in the Netherlands, David Gray’s team will play the German side in a behind-closed-doors game.

This match will provide Gray and his coaching staff another chance to give the squad some game time and see the new signings in action for the first time.AR290624_2654.jpg

Goalkeeper Josef Bursik made his non-competitive debut in Hibernian’s 5-0 victory over Edinburgh City. New center-backs Warren O’Hora and Marvin Ekpiteta could also make their first appearances for Hibs against MSV Duisburg.

In the pre-season opener at Meadowbank, Chris Cadden, Dylan Levitt, Harry McKirdy, Reuben McAllister, and Josh Campbell all scored in a dominant win for the Hibees.Dietmar Hirsch.jpeg

Promising young players Kanayo Megwa, Rory Whittaker, and Rudi Molotnikov are part of the training camp squad and might get another opportunity to impress the Head Coach on Wednesday.

MSV Duisburg, Hibs’ opponents in the Netherlands, are based in Western Germany. Coached by Dietmar Hirsch, they currently play in the fourth tier of German football after being relegated from the 3. Liga in the 2023/24 season.

Since this is a behind-closed-doors friendly, no supporters will be allowed access. Updates will be available on Hibernian’s social media channels, along with a match report and highlights after the game.

After Wednesday’s match, the squad will have two more days of intense training before a friendly against Greek champions, PAOK.
