“On his way out of the club”: Message Leaves Storms in Terrible State as Another Player Set to Leave.

Melbourne Storm powerhouse Nelson Asofa-Solomona recently shared a cryptic message on social media amid speculation about his future with the club. Despite being under contract until the end of 2027, with an option for 2028, rumors suggest he may be considered surplus following a reduction in his playing time this season.

Asofa-Solomona, who has played just 11 games this season with an average of 30 minutes per game, posted on social media with the caption “all good things must come to an end, enjoy the moments while they last,” accompanied by several photos. One image showed him embracing former teammate Justin Olam, who departed for the Wests Tigers.

The post reportedly raised concerns among Storm officials, prompting plans for discussions with Asofa-Solomona upon his return to training after the bye week. However, the club clarified that the post was simply referring to the end of his break after the bye week, dispelling any notions of his departure.

Despite this clarification, there are ongoing reports linking Asofa-Solomona to potential interest from other clubs, including the Wests Tigers, amidst the Storm’s pursuit of Tigers forward Stefano Utoikamanu. Asofa-Solomona, who joined the Storm as a teenager and has played 195 games since his debut in 2015, remains a key figure in discussions surrounding player movements in the NRL.
