West Bromwich Albion forward Michael Johnston is set to miss at least two months of action after suffering an ankle injury during a training session earlier this week.

The 24-year-old picked up the knock in a non-contact situation and was immediately assessed by the club’s medical team. Following a thorough examination and scans, it has been confirmed that Johnston has sustained ligament damage and will require a significant recovery period.

This injury comes as a blow to manager Carlos Corberán, who was relying on Johnston to provide depth and attacking options for the team during the current Championship campaign. Johnston, who joined West Brom this summer, had started to integrate well into the squad, and his absence will force the club to rely on other options in the forward line.

West Brom’s medical team will monitor Johnston’s progress over the coming weeks, with hopes of a return around late November or early December. Fans will be eager for his recovery as the team navigates through a busy fixture schedule.

Johnston will begin rehabilitation immediately, with the club offering full support to ensure he makes a full recovery.

West Brom Injury List Grows

Johnston’s injury adds to West Brom’s growing list of sidelined players, a challenge Corberán and his staff will have to navigate. Despite the setback, the Baggies are optimistic about their squad depth and are hopeful of finding solutions as they push for a strong finish in the Championship.
