Things heat up during a training camp drill as Max Domi and Simon Benoit clash in an intense showdown!

Max Domi and Simon Benoit had a heated exchange during a drill on the second day of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ training camp. With new head coach Craig Berube aiming to elevate the team’s competitive spirit, tensions ran high, leading to a brief wrestling match between Domi and Benoit during a Group B on-ice session. Fortunately, the situation was quickly resolved without any hard feelings, with Benoit playfully remarking that he was demonstrating his “new dad strength” after missing the first day of camp due to the birth of his daughter, whose name is yet to be announced. Domi acknowledged Benoit with stick taps as he led the team in post-drill stretches.

Both Benoit and Domi are known for their competitiveness, which contributes to their success in the NHL. Coach Berube’s intense coaching style is expected to complement their approach. The Maple Leafs began their preseason with a disappointing 6-5 overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators, fielding what closely resembled their regular-season roster against a mostly AHL lineup from the Senators.
