Devastating News: Toronto Maple Leafs lose three key players due to injuries

In unfortunate news, the Maple Leafs have announced that three key players will miss the start of training camp due to injuries.

Fraser Minten, Ben Danford, and Connor Dewar are not expected to be healthy enough to participate. According to NHL insider Chris Johnston, Connor Dewar is dealing with a shoulder injury, while Ben Danford is recovering from a concussion. Fraser Minten, who was expected to be a focal point of the camp, sustained a high ankle sprain during a recent rookie game.

Fraser Minten, selected by the Maple Leafs in the second round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft (38th overall), spent his junior career with the WHL’s Kamloops Blazers. During his time with Kamloops, he developed into a versatile player, and in the 2022-2023 WHL season, he tallied an impressive 67 points in 57 games, showcasing his leadership abilities. Last season, Minten played four games for the Leafs but didn’t record any points. He had hoped to make an impact this year, but his injury will delay that opportunity.
