Paul Warne has confirmed that he has had discussions with a striker as he aims to finalize the additions to his Derby County squad before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

Securing a new number nine is a top priority, especially after Derby’s 4-2 defeat to Blackburn in their Championship opener last night.

Derby is also looking to complete a transfer for Djurgarden goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom within the next week. Additionally, they are seeking a creative midfielder and a center-back, with plans to bolster the squad through Premier League loan deals.
