Robin Propper is en route to Glasgow, with his Rangers medical scheduled within the next 24 hours, according to Barry Anderson.
The Edinburgh News journalist reported via X on 31 July that the FC Twente defender is traveling to Scotland for his proposed move to the Light Blues, with medical tests due by lunchtime on Wednesday, 1 August.
The Daily Record updated on 31 July at 11:42 AM that the 30-year-old is set to arrive in the city the same day. Rangers have agreed on a fee with his Eredivisie club, but personal terms and medical tests still need to be finalized, as reported by Scott Burns.
Rangers are racing against time ahead of their opener against Hearts at Tynecastle. Philippe Clement made Vaclav Cerny his eighth signing last week, after delays in incoming transfers. Following Connor Goldson’s departure to Aris Limassol on 30 July, Clement and compatriot Nils Koppen have swiftly moved to secure Propper as their ninth addition.
Goldson’s exit has created significant wage bill space but has left a thin center-back group led by veteran Leon Balogun.
