However, the report also notes that it remains to be seen whether Fiorentina will meet Rangers’ asking price of €3.5 million (£3 million) for the player.
Hagi previously played for Fiorentina as a teenager, moving to the Serie A side from Viitorul Constanța in 2016 before spending two seasons with the club. Farul Constanta president Gică Popescu, who has links to the Hagi family, was tight-lipped about the interest, saying, “If I knew, I wouldn’t tell you. I don’t think you should talk to me, but to Ianis. So you should talk to him, maybe from tomorrow onwards.”
