Exciting: AC/DC to Headline Mega Concert -Preview and Ticketing Info.
On this upcoming Sunday, AC/DC, the Australian hard-rock band, will perform in Bratislava as part of their Power Up Tour Europe 2024. Thousands are expected to gather at the former Vajnory airport on the outskirts of the city.
To accommodate concert-goers, the Bratislava Public Transport Company (DPB) will enhance certain services. Additionally, there will be traffic restrictions in place later in the day near the former airport, with the nearby overpass closing and access to Vajnory limited to borough residents only.
Here’s what attendees can anticipate:
Prior to the closure, Buses 52, 53, 56, and 65 will serve the OC Vajnory stop near the venue. A special train will also run between Bratislava main railway station and Vajnory train station.
Starting at 16:45, every Tram 4 will travel directly to the Zlaté Piesky stop (normally, every second tram goes to Nové Mesto train station; instead, Bus X4 will cover this route from MiU Nové Mesto stop). Moreover, additional trams will operate from 17:00 to 21:00, connecting Zlaté Piesky with the city centre.
Buses 52, 53, 56, and 65 will run on shortened routes; Buses 52 and 56 will terminate at Na Pasekách stop, requiring a short walk to the venue, while Buses 53 and 65 will conclude at Zlaté Piesky stop.
Following the concert, attendees can utilize trains to the main railway station, an additional Tram N4 to the city centre, and Bus N53 to the main railway station, all departing from Zlaté Piesky stop.
