Premier League Club Set for SHOCK Deadline Day £20M Bid for Sunderland Star……

Fulham have regained their footing in the Premier League after a challenging few years, and Sunderland is aiming to do the same, with the Black Cats pushing hard for promotion this season.

Sunderland finds themselves in an unexpected promotion battle this year. Since Regis Le Bris’ arrival in the summer, the team has reached new heights.

The Black Cats’ next match is on Monday against Middlesbrough at the Riverside, a fixture that promises to be a tough challenge.

Le Bris has pointed out that the timing of the game is less than ideal, with deadline day also falling on Monday, as Sunderland is looking to make some moves before the transfer window closes at 11pm.

Fulham Targeting Trai Hume at Sunderland

Sporting director Kristjaan Speakman may face more than just bringing in new players on deadline day. He could also be managing potential departures, with Trai Hume now linked to a move away.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, Fulham have placed Hume on their transfer shortlist ahead of the deadline. However, the report adds that Sunderland would require a £20 million offer to even consider selling the defender at this time.

Sunderland signed Hume from Linfield in 2022 for just £150,000. Since then, he has made 113 appearances for the club, scoring four goals and providing six assists.

The Unsettling Trai Hume Transfer Situation at Sunderland

It appears that Kyril Louis-Dreyfus is set to block any player sales until the summer, prioritizing Sunderland’s push for promotion. Given the club’s recent investment in Eno Le Fee’s loan deal, it’s unlikely that a key player like Hume will be sold on deadline day.

However, if Sunderland fail to gain promotion, the 22-year-old right-back could face a challenging summer. Transfer expert Graeme Bailey previously told Sunderland AFC News that Hume may leave if the club doesn’t secure promotion this season.

He noted, “If they don’t go up, they’ll probably lose two or three. Chris Rigg definitely, [Dan] Ballard probably, and maybe Hume.”

Fulham will need to act fast if they want to secure a deal for Hume within the next 24 hours.
