Reports: Detroit Lions to Sign Former All-Pro S Jamal Adamsoo

The Detroit Lions are reportedly set to sign former All-Pro safety Jamal Adams to their practice squad. Adams, a standout in the NFL for several years, has had a stellar career but has been limited by injuries in recent seasons. Over his eight-year career, Adams has made 81 starts and established himself as one of the top safeties in the league, earning All-Pro honors in 2019.

However, Adams has been sidelined for much of the past three seasons, playing only 13 games due to injuries. Despite the setbacks, the Lions see potential in bringing him aboard, offering depth and versatility to their defensive backfield. Detroit’s coaching staff, led by head coach Dan Campbell, is optimistic about the possibilities of adding Adams to the mix.

“This will be good, getting Jamal here,” Campbell said. “We’ll see if there’s a spot for him. It just gives us more options.”
