The Detroit Lions made significant roster updates on Saturday, placing rookie cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury. In a corresponding move, veteran cornerback Emmanuel Moseley was activated. This will mark Moseley’s 2024 debut after recovering from a torn pectoral muscle sustained during joint practices with the New York Giants earlier this year.

Moseley, who joined the Lions in 2023 after five seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, has faced challenges returning to full health, including two ACL injuries. His activation comes at a crucial time, as the Lions are dealing with other injuries in their secondary, including rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold, who has also been ruled out for the game against the Colts with a hamstring issue.

Additionally, the Lions elevated linebacker David Long from the practice squad to bolster their lineup ahead of the Week 12 clash at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. This game will kick off at noon CT.
