Antwione Williams, a former linebacker for the Detroit Lions, has been arrested and charged in connection with the January 6 Capitol riot. He faces serious charges, including felony assault on law enforcement officers, impeding their work, and obstruction of justice. In addition, Williams is charged with three misdemeanors related to illegally entering the Capitol, disorderly conduct, and participating in violent acts. Authorities were able to identify him after a tip led them to review photos of the suspects, his credit card transactions near the Capitol, and a distinctive red key fob. Williams was arrested in Savannah, Georgia.
