Brittany Force began her drag racing journey at Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School, where she earned her competition license before spending three seasons in Super Comp and three more in Top Alcohol Dragster.
When it was time to go professional, Brittany joined the Top Fuel class, becoming the first driver in John Force Racing history to do so. She debuted in 2013 and was named NHRA Rookie of the Year, capturing the Auto Club’s Road to the Future Award. Her first NHRA national win came in 2016 at the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida.
The pinnacle of her career came in 2017, when Brittany made history as the first woman in 35 years, and only the second in history, to win an NHRA Top Fuel World Championship. Although she entered the 2017 Countdown to the Championship ranked sixth with one win, she dominated, reaching four final rounds and winning three of the six Countdown races. Brittany capped off the season with a dominant win at the Auto Club Finals in Pomona, California, securing her title with a No. 1 qualifier and new track records, becoming one of only 12 drivers to complete a wire-to-wire championship finish.
The following year presented new challenges as Brittany endured a severe crash at the 2018 Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona. Despite the setback, she ended the season fifth in points, with a victory in Houston and two No. 1 qualifying positions.
In 2019, with seasoned crew chief David Grubnic, Brittany claimed two wins, including a milestone victory at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the Countdown and a repeat win at the NHRA Spring Nationals in Houston.
Her 2021 season was marked by a record-breaking streak of eight consecutive No. 1 qualifying positions, totaling 12 for the year. That season, she achieved a historic win alongside her father, John Force, at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, Kansas, marking the first father-child double victory in NHRA history.
Brittany’s success continued in 2022 as she won her second Top Fuel championship with six event victories, securing the 22nd championship for John Force Racing.
