The Dallas Cowboys have brought in a new player, but it’s not the signing fans were expecting. With two defensive players sidelined due to injuries, additional reinforcements were necessary, but the new addition is relatively unknown.

Many Dallas Cowboys fans are aware that Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence will be unavailable for several weeks due to injuries. Parsons is expected to be out for two to four weeks due to a high ankle sprain, while DeMarcus Lawrence has been placed on injured reserve with a right foot sprain, which means he will be out for at least four weeks.

These injuries further complicate an already struggling defense.

The front office is always on the lookout for hidden gems and is optimistic that their latest addition will rejuvenate the pass rush. However, fans are cautious about getting their hopes up whenever the front office pursues lesser-known players.

The player in question is K.J. Henry, who was previously on the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad. The Cowboys have signed him to a two-year contract to bolster their defense.

At the very least, K.J. Henry can provide some depth to the defensive end rotation, which currently includes Marshawn Kneeland, Chauncey Golston, and Carl Lawson.

While this lineup may not instill fear in opposing quarterbacks, it could still prove effective, and Henry may contribute some unrecognized talents to the group.
