Adrian Newey’s decision to join Aston Martin instead of Ferrari has sparked conversation in the Formula 1 world. Lewis Hamilton, who is moving from Mercedes to Ferrari next season, along with current Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, shared their thoughts on the matter.

Newey, one of the most renowned engineers in F1, recently announced his departure from Red Bull, and after speculations about his next move, he confirmed he would join Aston Martin in March next year. When asked if he was disappointed by Newey’s decision to join a rival team, Hamilton remained optimistic.

“Honestly, no,” he said bluntly. “While it would have been an honor to work with Adrian, I’ve been fortunate to work with two championship-winning teams without him. My goal and focus remain the same, and I believe 100 percent in what we can achieve at Ferrari.”

Charles Leclerc expressed a similar view, showing respect for Newey’s decision. “There’s no disappointment. We spoke to Adrian, but he made his choice. At Ferrari, we value the strength of the team over any individual. We have an amazing group, and I’m confident we’ll be back at the top.”

Leclerc also highlighted his trust in Ferrari’s current leadership under team principal Fred Vasseur, emphasizing the team’s long-term improvement process and his full confidence in their direction.

As Newey moves to Aston Martin, his expertise is expected to significantly bolster the team’s efforts, while Ferrari remains focused on its internal structure and pursuit of future championships under Vasseur’s guidance.
