Wrexham has bolstered Phil Parkinson’s squad with five new signings this summer following their promotion from League Two. Despite these additions, the team may still seek more players.

The new arrivals include goalkeepers Arthur Okonkwo, who joined permanently, and Callum Burton, who came on a free transfer. In defense, Wrexham brought in Lewis Brunt and Sebastian Revan, who previously played together at Aston Villa. Midfielder George Dobson was also signed on a free transfer.

While these players bring a blend of League One experience and potential, Wrexham is still looking to strengthen their squad. With August being the final month of the summer transfer window, it’s crucial for finalizing any outstanding deals. Wrexham is particularly interested in Ryan Longman, who is also a target for Derby County and other clubs.

Phil Parkinson may be looking for a versatile player like Longman, who can play in multiple positions. In July, it was reported that Wrexham was keen on Longman, a Hull City player who previously played for Brighton & Hove Albion. Birmingham City was also reportedly interested.

Birmingham has already secured Marc Leonard, a player Wrexham had targeted, hinting at another possible transfer battle. The Hull Daily Mail now reports that Championship clubs Millwall and Derby County are also pursuing Longman. Longman, who spent last season on loan at Millwall, might find a permanent move appealing, but Derby County’s manager Paul Warne is eager to strengthen his squad as the Rams aim to return to the Championship.
