Kevin Durant was impressed by Simone Biles’ performance in the women’s individual all-around event at the Summer Olympics on Thursday. Durant and other members of the Team USA basketball team attended the event in Paris to support Biles and fellow gymnast Suni Lee. As anticipated, Biles won the gold medal, bringing her total to six Olympic golds, the most by any American gymnast—male or female—in history.
Watching Biles compete, Durant tweeted that her exceptional leaping ability makes him believe she could “catch a lob and finish.” He also referred to her as “Goat Biles.”
We wouldn’t doubt it. Biles achieved remarkable height during the floor exercise of the all-around event:
The gold medal was Biles’ second in Paris, following the gold she and her teammates won in the team all-around earlier in the week. After that victory, Biles took to social media to make a pointed remark about a former teammate.
