Walsall have secured the signing of former Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah on a one-year deal. The 36-year-old joins the Saddlers as their sixth summer signing after being released by Championship side Queens Park Rangers. Adomah, who played as a trialist in Walsall’s pre-season friendlies against Alvechurch and Villa, made 129 appearances during his four seasons at Loftus Road, including 18 last term.
The former Ghana international spent three seasons at Villa Park, becoming their top scorer with 15 goals in the 2017-18 season and achieving Premier League promotion via the play-offs the following year. Besides QPR and Villa, Adomah has played for Barnet, Bristol City, Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest, and Cardiff City, amassing 775 career appearances.
