Former Sunderland and Norwich City defender Danny Batth is currently seeking a new club after departing from Norwich City at the conclusion of last season.
The 33-year-old centre-back, who was named Sunderland’s supporters’ player of the season for the 2022/23 campaign, left the club last summer. Blackburn Rovers have shown interest in him since last year, but a deal could not be finalized due to financial constraints at the time.
Batth joined Norwich City subsequently but featured in only 16 Championship matches during his single season at Carrow Road. Sources indicate that Batth has attracted interest from both Championship clubs and teams across Europe since his departure from Norwich.
According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn manager John Eustace is particularly eager to secure Batth’s services, having admired the defender for some time.
