The Green Bay Packers have transitioned from many of their star players over the years. Their numerous trades and free agent moves (both releasing and signing players) have led to one of the youngest teams in the league. Last season, this youthful team came within three points of the NFC Championship game, raising expectations for the current year.

However, one former star has stated that he is unlikely to play for the Packers again.

In late May, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reported on Josh Jacobs trying to recruit Davante Adams back to the Packers. Jacobs praised the Packers’ receiving corps and mentioned he had sent Adams a message with a “little eyes emoji” asking if he was considering a return. Adams, however, responded on the Up and Adams Show that he wouldn’t be coming back.

Adams Might Be Considering Another Team
Despite keeping in touch with Aaron Rodgers through various outings and events, Adams revealed that Rodgers has been in his ear lately, potentially hinting at a reunion in New York. This isn’t the first time rumors have circulated about Rodgers lobbying Adams to join the Jets from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Adams played his first eight NFL seasons with the Packers under Rodgers. Although Adams still has two years left on his contract with the Raiders (who can opt-out for a salary cap hit of $15.7 million), there has been ongoing speculation about a potential reunion in New York. Despite this, Adams has not expressed any dissatisfaction with the Raiders or indicated any trade demands, though the interest in reuniting with his former quarterback remains.
