Transfer News: Talks Break Down as Norwich Press for Better Offer for Striker.

norwich city, Norwich City: Celtic set to improve bid for striker, reported £6m would be enough

Celtic are planning to make an improved offer for Norwich City striker Adam Idah this summer, aiming to secure him permanently after his loan spell. Norwich, preparing for another Championship season, reached the playoffs but lost to Leeds United. Following David Wagner’s dismissal, Johannes Hoff Thorup now leads the charge towards Premier League promotion.

Idah, 23, impressed during his loan stint at Celtic, scoring nine goals and providing two assists in 19 games. Despite his contributions, reports indicate earlier bids were rejected, prompting Celtic to prepare a new offer around £6 million. Norwich, having coped well without Idah towards the season’s end, might benefit from reinvesting the fee to strengthen other squad areas.

Having progressed through Norwich’s youth ranks, Idah made his debut in 2019 and has since featured in both Premier League and Championship matches. While his departure would mark the end of an era, Norwich could capitalize on the opportunity to cash in, considering his recent goal-scoring record.
