Queens Park Rangers (QPR) are on the verge of completing the signing of 23-year-old Brazilian right-back Hevertton Santos. West London Sport first reported in April that Santos was one of the right-backs on QPR’s radar for this summer transfer window.
Santos is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Portuguese club Estrela, facilitating his move to West London.
In addition to Santos, QPR are also working on securing a deal for Bayern Munich’s Scotland Under-21 centre-back Liam Morrison. Morrison, 21, joined Bayern from Celtic at the age of 16 and spent the previous season on loan at Wigan Athletic.
Meanwhile, the future of out-of-contract winger Chris Willock is expected to be clarified soon. Discussions have been held regarding a two-year contract that includes a release clause, allowing Willock to leave if suitable offers come in while ensuring QPR receives a transfer fee. Willock has been exploring his options amid interest from multiple clubs, particularly given his recent struggles with fitness over the past couple of seasons.
QPR kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win over Andorran side UE Santa Coloma in Girona, Spain.
