The Miami Dolphins have invested heavily in Jaylen Waddle, and it has paid off. Waddle has proven his worth, solidifying the Dolphins’ wide receiver tandem as one of the best in the league. Consequently, this raises the question of Tyreek Hill’s market value. Hill, who was once the highest-paid wide receiver in the game, received that distinction when the Dolphins acquired him. Now, many expect the Dolphins to consider restructuring Hill’s contract to maintain that status.

Craig Carton of The Carton Show recently emphasized that this should be an easy decision for head coach Mike McDaniel and his team. Carton argued that re-signing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa necessitates also re-signing Hill. Tua had an impressive season, but his success is closely tied to having Hill, his “security blanket,” on the field.

This makes perfect sense. As Tua approaches a significant payday, ensuring he has his top offensive weapon in Hill is crucial. Hill has expressed his desire to retire with the Dolphins and has maintained a positive presence since joining the team. However, he is also known for being vocal about his financial motivations, which is entirely fair.

The Dolphins must navigate this situation carefully. If they believe Tua is their quarterback of the future, they must also commit to securing his best asset. Ensuring Hill remains content and well-compensated is not just a financial decision but a strategic one that could determine the team’s success in the coming years.
