Hibs Secure Minimum £150k in Deal as Summer Squad Overhaul Continues

David Gray’s revamp of the Hibs squad is gathering pace with Ewan Henderson’s departure. The Easter Road club has secured at least £150,000 from a transfer agreement with Belgian club Beerschot.

Henderson, who impressed on loan at Oostende last season, was expected to leave Edinburgh this summer. Despite financial difficulties preventing Oostende from exercising their purchase option, the 24-year-old is set to join a Pro League club immediately. The deal includes potential additional payments based on his performance.

Under new manager Gray, Hibs are trimming their squad, described as “bloated” by sporting director Malky Mackay, by loaning out youngsters and seeking buyers for fringe players.
